A TEAM EFFORT

THANK YOU

For many families, participating in team sports is a rite of passage. From T-ball and Little League to AYSO Soccer, participation provides a fun activity, the well documented benefits of team sports, team pride, and often creates lifelong friendships for both the child and the parents.

For some families however, this “rite of passage” is not possible. Families with children with autism can’t join the local team due to the challenges their son or daughter face. Be it physical, emotional or social, the skills of their child are not sufficient to play on a “typical team”.

Imagine a place where no one is yelling at the referee or challenging the coach. A place where parents cheer for both teams and all players. A place where the least important part of the game is the score. Spirit League is that place.

With more families seeking a place for their special needs child to play sports, we have experienced record-breaking growth with athletes on waiting lists and not being able to play; simply because we are at capacity.

Please help us grow the Spirit League program to accommodate these young athletes so they can experience the joy and benefits of being part of a team.
